Artist In Residence
Dance Connect is excited to annouce Chloe has been chosen to be one of the first artists in residence at The Garden Center for Contemporary Dance. Chloe, along with Jolet Creary (of EQuilibrium Dance) are the first to embark on this journey. With the artist in residence program, Dance Connect will make use of The Garden Center space for rehearsal, to share works in progress, and much more. Dance Connect is excited and grateful to The Garden Center, Scapegoat Garden and Debbie Goffe for this excellent opportunity!

We invite you to taste Hartford’s rich creative diversity in this special shared evening of dance. Offering a menu of works from the current season and a sneak preview of the season to come, the evening will feature Homegrown Dance member companies: Judy Dworin Performance Project, Scapegoat Garden, dancEnlight and Dance Connect. Dance A La Carte provides a unique opportunity to sample the kinesthetic flavors that have been growing in your own backyard. Save the date, invite a friend and stay tuned for details as partnerships with area restaurants and a wine-tasting post-show reception are brought to the table.

Returning for our sixth season, Dance Connect offers an engaging, multifaceted and colorful evening of dance created through collaboration with the talented artists of New Haven’s Elm City Dance Collective (ECDC). Chloe Carlson (Director, Dance Connect), Kellie Lynch and Lindsey Bauer (Directors, ECDC) invite audiences to serve as both witnesses and participants in this display of dynamic and diverse dance from both companies. Take a fresh look at Charter Oak’s unique and beautiful space in expected and unexpected ways. Join Dance Connect and ECDC as they buoy the imagination through the magic of dance.
